1An Act to renumber and amend 59.53 (3); and
to create 59.53 (3) (c) of the

relating to: county assistance to certain nonprofit organizations.

This bill authorizes a county to appropriate money to a nonprofit organization
that operates a food bank or food pantry in the county.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

promoting any of the following purposes:

7(a) Promoting and assisting any community action agency under s. 49.265

8for making.

9(b) Making payments to a nonprofit organization, as defined in s. 23.197 (4) (a)
101., that has as a primary purpose providing assistance to individuals who are the
1victims of domestic violence and related crimes. The county may also appropriate
2money for making payments to such a nonprofit organization for its capital and
3operational expenses.
