SB750,1,3 1An Act to create 20.115 (7) (u) and 93.74 of the statutes; relating to: grants for
2regional biodigesters, granting rule-making authority, and making an
3appropriation.

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer
Protection to provide planning grants for establishing regional biodigesters.
Biodigesters are used to break down organic material into gases, liquids, and solids.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB750,1 4Section 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert
5the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table PDF
SB750,2 1Section 2. 20.115 (7) (u) of the statutes is created to read:
SB750,2,42 20.115 (7) (u) Grants for regional biodigesters. From the environmental fund,
3the amounts in the schedule for providing planning grants for establishing regional
4biodigesters.
SB750,3 5Section 3. 93.74 of the statutes is created to read:
SB750,2,8 693.74 Grants for regional biodigesters. (1) Grant program. From the
7appropriation under s. 20.115 (7) (u), the department shall provide planning grants
8for establishing regional biodigesters.
SB750,2,10 9(2) Rules. The department shall promulgate rules for the administration of
10this section.
SB750,4 11Section 4. Effective date.
SB750,2,1312 (1) This act takes effect on the day after publication, or on the 2nd day after
13publication of the 2023 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
