2021 WISCONSIN ACT

An Act to amend 943.01 (2) (e) and 943.017 (2) (e) of the statutes; relating to: damage or graffiti to certain historical property and providing a penalty.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB776,1 Section 1 . 943.01 (2) (e) of the statutes is amended to read:

943.01 (2) (e) The property damaged is on state-owned publicly owned land or is maintained by the state or any county or municipality and either is listed on the registry under sub. (5) or is a structure, plaque, statue, painting, or other monument of commemorative or historical significance.

AB776,2 Section 2 . 943.017 (2) (e) of the statutes is amended to read:

943.017 (2) (e) The property affected is on state-owned publicly owned land or is maintained by the state or any county or municipality and either is listed on the registry under s. 943.01 or is a structure, plaque, statue, painting, or other monument of commemorative or historical significance.
