AB580-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB580-AA2,1,3 21. Page 15, line 16: delete the material beginning with that line and ending
3with page 16, line 7, and substitute:
AB580-AA2,1,4 4" Section 57b. 77.82 (12) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB580-AA2,2,75 77.82 (12) Renewal. An owner of managed forest land may petition file an
6application with
the department under sub. (2) for renewal of the order. A petition
7filed by an owner of 1,000 acres or more in this state
An application for renewal shall
8be filed no later than the March 31 June 1 before the expiration date of the order.
9 A petition filed by an owner of less than 1,000 acres in this state shall be filed no later
10than the 2nd July 1 before the expiration date of the order, except that if the owner
11satisfies the requirement in sub. (7) (c) 3., the petition shall be filed no later than the
12May 15 before the expiration date of the order.
The petition application shall specify
13whether the owner wants the order renewed for 25 or 50 years. The provisions under

1subs. (5), (6), and (7) do not apply to a petition an application under this subsection.
2The department may deny the petition application only if the land fails to meet the
3eligibility requirements under sub. (1), if the owner has failed to comply with the
4management plan that is in effect on the date that the petition application for
5renewal is filed, or if there are delinquent taxes on the land. If the petition
6application is denied, the department shall state the reason for the denial in
7writing.".
