SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 3, TO 2009 SENATE BILL 25

SB25-SSA3-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB25-SSA3-SA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 4: after "authority," insert "making an appropriation,".

SB25-SSA3-SA2,1,3 2. Page 1, line 5: before that line insert:

SB25-SSA3-SA2,1,4 " Section 1e. 20.255 (2) (eq) of the statutes is created to read:

SB25-SSA3-SA2,1,7 20.255 (2) (eq) Aid for terminating use of race-based nicknames, logos, mascots, and team names. A sum sufficient for payments to school districts under s. 115.28 (56).

SB25-SSA3-SA2, s. 1m Section 1m. 115.28 (56) of the statutes is created to read:

SB25-SSA3-SA2,2,2 115.28 (56) Terminating use of race-based nicknames, logos, mascots, and team names. From the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (eq), pay to a school board ordered under s. 118.134 (3) to terminate the use of a race-based nickname, logo, mascot, or team name and that applies for assistance under this subsection the costs incurred by the school board to comply with the order.".

SB25-SSA3-SA2,2,3 3. Page 1, line 5: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1s".

SB25-SSA3-SA2,2,5 4. Page 4, line 9: after "order." insert "The school board may apply for assistance under s. 115.28 (56).".
