SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2009 SENATE BILL 380

SB380-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB380-SA1,1,8 1. Page 5, line 20: delete "has the meaning given in s. 813.12 (1) (ag)" and substitute "means a romantic or intimate social relationship between 2 individuals but "dating relationship" does not include a casual relationship or an ordinary fraternization between 2 individuals in a business or social context. A court shall determine if a dating relationship existed by considering the length of the relationship, the type of the relationship, and the frequency of the interaction between the individuals involved in the relationship.".

SB380-SA1,1,9 2. Page 5, line 22: delete that line.

SB380-SA1,1,11 3. Page 5, line 25: delete the material beginning with "or adult" and ending with "household member" on page 6, line 1.

SB380-SA1,1,13 4. Page 6, line 1: delete the material beginning with "adult family" and ending with "member" on line 2 and substitute "family member".

SB380-SA1,1,14 5. Page 6, line 2: delete "against an adult" and substitute "against a person".

SB380-SA1,2,2 6. Page 6, line 3: delete "adult former" and substitute "former".

Page 6, line 6: delete the material beginning with "person engaged" and ending with "whom the person" on line 10 and substitute "adult actor engaged in violent or abusive conduct to harm, intimidate, or threaten a person who is the adult actor's family member, a person for whom the adult actor is a caregiver, the adult actor's former spouse, a person with whom the adult actor has or had a dating relationship, or a person with whom the adult actor".
