7fees for services it provides to cover the costs incurred by the division in providing
8the services. The division shall deposit all fees credit all moneys collected under this
9section in subsection to the appropriation account under s. 20.143 (1) (g).

SB55-SSA1-CA1,906,1611 560.165 (2) The department may assess a state agency on a premium basis for
12the cost of services that are provided by the department's international liaison and
13that are requested by the state agency. Any premium charged by the department
14under this section must be agreed to by the state agency paying the premium. The

SB55-SSA1-CA1,906,22 19560.172 Fire suppression grant program. (1) Grants. (a) From the
20appropriation under s. 20.143 (1) (n), the department of commerce shall award
21grants to fire departments for up to 50% of the cost of acquiring fire suppression
22equipment and materials.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,906,2423 (b) The department of commerce may not award more than $250,000 in grants
24per fiscal year under this section.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,2

1(2) Eligible recipients. A fire department is eligible for grants under this
2section if all of the following apply:

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,53 (a) The area in which the fire department provides fire protection and fire
4prevention services has a population of less than 6,000 on the date on which the
5application for the grant is submitted to the department of commerce.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,76 (b) The fire department responds to all of the first alarms for structural fires
7that are issued in the area described in par. (a).

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,108 (c) The fire department has entered into an agreement with at least one other
9fire department to assist the latter fire department in the suppression of structural
10fires.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,13 11(3) Eligible equipment and materials. (a) A recipient of a grant under this
12section may use the grant proceeds to acquire, to the extent permitted under federal
13law, any of the following fire suppression equipment or materials:

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,1414 1. Protective equipment and fire resistant clothing.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,1515 2. Fire suppression tools and communication equipment.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,1716 3. Materials necessary for fire prevention training or information that is

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,1818 4. Fire suppression training equipment and materials.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,2019 5. Other equipment and materials as specified by rule by the department of
20commerce.

SB55-SSA1-CA1,907,2221 (b) A recipient of a grant under this section may not use the grant proceeds to
22acquire any of the following:
