DOC 347.43 DOC 347.43 Independent living and life skills programming. The facility shall provide youth with structured experience in independent living and life skills that may include the following components:

DOC 347.43(1)(a) (a) Ability to find safe, stable, and affordable housing.

DOC 347.43(1)(b) (b) Basic home maintenance and cleaning skills.

DOC 347.43(1)(c) (c) Meal planning and cooking skills.

DOC 347.43(1)(d) (d) Transportation skills.

DOC 347.43(1)(e) (e) Obtaining medical, dental, and mental health care.

DOC 347.43(1)(f) (f) Money management.

DOC 347.43(2) (2) Life skills.

DOC 347.43(2)(a) (a) Development of youths’ emotional regulation, self-responsibility, and resilience.

DOC 347.43(2)(b) (b) Development of appropriate pro-social relationships.

DOC 347.43(2)(c) (c) Fostering protective skills against victimization.

DOC 347.44 DOC 347.44 Leisure activities, recreation, and exercise.

DOC 347.44(1) (1) Leisure activities. The facility shall offer youth a range of leisure activities.

DOC 347.44(2) (2) Recreation. The facility shall do all of the following:

DOC 347.44(2)(a) (a) Have a supervised and scheduled recreation and exercise program.

DOC 347.44(2)(b) (b) Ensure all youth have access to at least one hour of large muscle exercise every weekday and at least 2 hours of large muscle exercise each Saturday and Sunday in a space outside of their own rooms.

DOC 347.44(2)(c) (c) Have and maintain supplies and equipment to provide a variety of recreational and exercise activities.

DOC 347.45 DOC 347.45 Youth, family, and social supporter engagement.

DOC 347.45(1) (1) Orientation and access.

DOC 347.45(1)(a) (a) Orientation and information. The facility shall provide a parent, guardian, or legal custodian orientation materials upon admission.

DOC 347.45(1)(b) (b) Access to youth. The facility shall provide youth access to social supporters in accordance with s. DOC 347.34.

DOC 347.45(2) (2) Opportunities for input. The facility shall do all of the following:
