PI 34.040(2)(g)1.1. Completed an out-of-state educator preparation program that meets all of the following requirements:
PI 34.040(2)(g)1.a.a. Is approved by the state education agency of the state in which it is headquartered.
PI 34.040(2)(g)1.b.b. Is comparable to a Wisconsin approved educator preparation program, including student teaching experience, as defined under s. PI 34.023 (2) (a) to (f), for those seeking a teaching license under subch. VI, or under subch. IX if the applicant holds or is concurrently applying for a tier II teaching license under subch. VI.
PI 34.040(2)(g)1.c.c. Is comparable to a Wisconsin approved educator preparation program, including a practicum experience under s. PI 34.023 (3) (a), for those seeking pupil services or administrator licenses issued under subchs. VII and VIII.
PI 34.040(2)(g)2.2. Received an institutional endorsement from the preparation program.
PI 34.040(2)(g)3.3. Demonstrated content knowledge with a passing score on a standardized content knowledge test as required by the state where the program is headquartered. If such a test is not required or not available in that state, then a passing score on a standardized test approved by the Wisconsin state superintendent or a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for courses in the subject area or position may be utilized.
PI 34.040(2)(g)4.4. Provided evidence demonstrating knowledge and understanding of all applicable concepts and topics described in s. PI 34.022. If an applicant is unable to provide such evidence, the applicant may be eligible to receive a tier I license.
PI 34.040(2)(g)5.5. Met the following degree requirements:
PI 34.040(2)(g)5.a.a. A bachelor’s degree for individuals seeking a teaching license under subch. VI.
PI 34.040(2)(g)5.b.b. The minimum degree requirements under subchs. VII and VIII for those seeking a pupil services license or an administrator’s license.
PI 34.040(2)(g)6.6. An educator seeking a tier II pupil services license under subch. VII shall meet all requirements under s. PI 34.058 (1) and (2), the eligibility requirements for the requested license under subch. VII, and the requirements of this paragraph.
PI 34.040(2)(g)7.7. An educator seeking an administrator license under subch. VIII shall meet the requirements in s. PI 34.065, the eligibility requirements for the requested license under subch. VIII, and the requirements of this paragraph.
PI 34.040(2)(g)8.8. An educator who holds a valid tier II or higher teaching license issued under subch. VI and is seeking a supplemental area license under subch. IX shall meet the requirements of s. PI 34.073, the eligibility requirements for the requested supplementary area license, and the requirements of this paragraph.
PI 34.040(2)(h)(h) Standards-based training or assessment. The applicant successfully completed a standards-based training or assessment program approved by the state superintendent and passed the assessments approved under s. PI 34.021.
PI 34.040(2)(i)(i) National board certification. The applicant is certified by the national board for professional teaching standards.
PI 34.040(2)(j)(j) Clinically-trained speech-language pathologist. The applicant meets all of the following:
PI 34.040(2)(j)1.1. Holds a master’s degree or higher in speech-language pathology.
PI 34.040(2)(j)2.2. Holds or has held a valid speech-language pathologist license issued by the hearing and speech examining board under s. 459.24, Stats.
PI 34.040(2)(j)3.3. Has fulfilled the duties as a speech-language pathologist for at least one year in a Wisconsin school while holding a license issued under s. PI 34.028 (2) (d).
PI 34.040(2)(j)4.4. Has completed training under s. 118.19 (8) and (9), Stats.
PI 34.040(2)(j)5.5. Has completed training regarding children with disabilities as described in s. PI 34.022 (7).
PI 34.040(2)(k)(k) Clinically-trained social worker. The applicant meets all of the following:
PI 34.040(2)(k)1.1. Holds a master’s degree in social work.
PI 34.040(2)(k)2.2. Has fulfilled the duties as a school social worker for at least one year in a Wisconsin school while holding a license issued under s. PI 34.028.
PI 34.040(2)(k)3.3. Has successfully completed training in all of the following:
PI 34.040(2)(k)3.a.a. Developmental psychopathology.
PI 34.040(2)(k)3.b.b. Assessment of children.
PI 34.040(2)(k)3.c.c. Child abuse and neglect.
PI 34.040(2)(k)3.d.d. Working with children and families.
