Whereas, Wisconsin has a long and illustrious history of encouraging and
3supporting the arts in its many communities; and

Whereas, Wisconsin artists create, perform and exhibit their work in studios,
5galleries, museums, theaters, amphitheaters, classrooms and concert halls in every
6corner of the state; and

Whereas, we recognize the importance of the arts in our society and support the
8arts in our communities and for our constituents; and

Whereas, we believe that the arts and arts education stimulate creativity,
10critical thinking, communication and learning in all subject areas and are tools for
