AB810,1,3 1An Act to renumber 301.205; to repeal and recreate 301.205 (title); and to

301.205 (1) of the statutes; relating to: transporting people to visit
3state prison inmates.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the department of corrections (DOC) may reimburse
families visiting girls at secured correctional facilities. This bill prohibits DOC from
using state funds to transport persons visiting inmates in state prisons.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB810, s. 1 4Section 1. 301.205 (title) of the statutes is repealed and recreated to read:
AB810,1,5 5301.205 (title) Transportation for visits.
AB810, s. 2 6Section 2. 301.205 of the statutes is renumbered 301.205 (2).
AB810, s. 3 7Section 3. 301.205 (1) of the statutes is created to read:
AB810,2,2
1301.205 (1) The department may not use state funds to transport persons
2visiting inmates in state prisons.
