ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: expressing the legislature's hope for a speedy recovery for Representative Tamara Grigsby.
Whereas, Representative Tamara Grigsby was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2004 and has been reelected without opposition since 2006; and
Whereas, Representative Tamara Grigsby has been a fierce advocate for children and working families as a social worker, family counselor, program manager at the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families, university professor, and legislator; and
Whereas, Representative Tamara Grigsby has worked long hours and made a deep commitment to the state budget process as a member of the Joint Committee on Finance; and
Whereas, Representative Tamara Grigsby passionately protects the interests of people in her Milwaukee district and speaks with conviction, intelligence, and eloquence on behalf of Wisconsin citizens; and
Whereas, Representative Tamara Grigsby has been recently hospitalized and is fighting a serious illness, leading to an outpouring of support from citizens throughout Wisconsin and other parts of the country, from her colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and from diverse groups of people ranging from prison inmates to members of Congress, all of whom wish her a speedy recovery; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature extends its get well wishes and hope for a quick return to health to Representative Tamara Grigsby.
