ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE BILL 450

SB450-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB450-AA2,1,3 1. Page 5, line 1: delete "A political" and substitute " A Except as provided in sub. (1m), a political".

SB450-AA2,1,4 2. Page 5, line 11: after that line insert:

SB450-AA2,1,5 " Section 11m. 173.19 (1m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB450-AA2,1,10 173.19 (1m) Notwithstanding sub. (1), a political subdivision or person contracting under s. 173.15 (1) may not euthanize the animal taken into custody under s. 173.13 (1) (a) 1. before 7 days have elapsed after custody is taken, except to alleviate physical suffering or to protect the safety of shelter staff, volunteers, or the public.".
