1An Act to create
20.370 (5) (cv) of the statutes; relating to: funding for the
2Southeastern Wisconsin Fox River Commission and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides funding of $100,000 in each fiscal year from the conservation
fund for the Southeastern Wisconsin Fox River Commission. The bill allows the
commission to use this funding to make grants to support activities that fall under
the commission's powers or duties. Current law establishes the commission and
grants to it the authority to develop and carry out certain plans, projects, and
programs to improve water quality and recreation in the Fox River system between
the northern boundary of the city of Waukesha and the Wisconsin-Illinois border.
The commission receives no state funding under current law.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert 4
the following amounts for the purposes indicated:

As a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for the 4
Southeastern Wisconsin Fox River Commission to make grants that support 5
activities that are required or authorized under subch. VI of ch. 33.
