SB10,1,2 1An Act relating to: position authorization for criminal investigation agents at
2the Department of Justice.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill authorizes and funds, for the 2017-19 fiscal biennium, four new
criminal investigation agent positions at the Department of Justice to focus on drug
interdiction and drug trafficking.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB10,1 3Section 1. Fiscal changes.
SB10,2,44 (1) Criminal investigation agents. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of
5the statutes for the appropriation to the department of justice under section 20.455
6(2) (a) of the statutes the dollar amount for fiscal year 2017-18 is increased by
7$420,000 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 4.0 GPR
8criminal investigation agents focused on drug interdiction and drug trafficking. In

1the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the
2department of justice under section 20.455 (2) (a) of the statutes the dollar amount
3for fiscal year 2018-19 is increased by $420,000 to provide funding for the positions
4authorized under this subsection.
