2005 WISCONSIN ACT 265

An Act relating to: fee remissions at technical colleges for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

265,1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

(1) Notwithstanding section 38.24 (3) (c) 1. of the statutes, for the 2005-06, 2006-07, and 2007-08 academic years, the state director of the technical college system may authorize district boards to remit the fees under section 38.24 (3) (a) of the statutes to needy and worthy students who are victims of Hurricane Katrina even if the total number of students receiving remissions under section 38.24 (3) (c) 1. of the statutes exceeds 0.5 percent of the full-time equivalent statewide enrollment as a result.
