(2) (a) 2. For an offense
which
that is a misdemeanor
under ch. 161, 940,
7941 or 948, a misdemeanor arising out of an arrest for a domestic abuse incident
8under s. 968.075, a violation of s. 813.12 (8) (a), or a violation of an ordinance
9involving burglary tools, commercial gambling, dealing in gambling devices,
10contributing to the delinquency of a child, dealing in stolen property, controlled
11substances under ch. 161, firearms, dangerous weapons, explosives, pandering,
12prostitution, sex offenses where children are victims, or worthless checks.

(3) Accept The department may accept for filing
, and may keep on file
4or in a data base, fingerprints and other identifying data, taken at the discretion of
5the law enforcement or tribal law enforcement agency involved, on persons arrested
6or taken into custody for offenses other than those listed in
par. sub. (2) (a).

(2) (g) Furnish all reporting officials with forms and instructions which
9specify in detail the nature of the information required under pars. (a) to (f)
and sub.
10(3) and any other matters which facilitate collection.

(2) (h) Cooperate with and assist all law enforcement and tribal law
13enforcement agencies in the state in the establishment of a state system of criminal
14identification and in obtaining fingerprints and other identifying data on all persons
