ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 19, To 1995 ASSEMBLY BILL 146

AB146-AA19,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB146-AA19,1,3 1. Page 1, line 10: after "child" insert: ", prosecution costs, making an appropriation".

AB146-AA19,1,4 2. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

AB146-AA19,1,6 " Section 1g. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

AB146-AA19, s. 1m Section 1m. 20.455 (1) (f) of the statutes is created to read:

AB146-AA19,1,10 20.455 (1) (f) Prosecution cost payments. The amounts in the schedule to reimburse counties for domestic abuse incident prosecution costs under s. 968.075 (10).".

AB146-AA19,1,11 3. Page 3, line 1: delete " Section 1." and substitute "Section 1r.".

AB146-AA19,2,1 4. Page 14, line 2: after that line insert:

AB146-AA19,2,2 " Section 41m. 968.075 (10) of the statutes is created to read:

AB146-AA19,2,5 968.075 (10) Reimbursement. (a) The department of justice shall reimburse counties for costs incurred in prosecuting cases involving domestic abuse incidents up to the following total amounts:

AB146-AA19,2,7 1. All counties having a population of 500,000 or more, $351,200 in each fiscal year.

AB146-AA19,2,9 2. All counties having a population of less than 500,000, $600,000 in each fiscal year.

AB146-AA19,2,11 (b) If in any fiscal year the amounts under par. (a) are insufficient to completely reimburse all applicable counties, the department shall prorate the payments.

AB146-AA19,2,13 (c) The department shall make reimbursement payments under this section from the appropriation under s. 20.455 (1) (f).".

AB146-AA19,2,14 5. Page 14, line 24: after that line insert:

AB146-AA19,2,15 " Section 45m. Appropriation changes.

AB146-AA19,2,21 (1) Additional position. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of administration under section 20.475 (1) (d) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $48,800 for fiscal year 1995-96 and the dollar amount is increased by $48,800 for fiscal year 1996-97 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 1.0 GPR position for an assistant district attorney for Milwaukee County.".
