AB229-AA1,1,11 11" Section 5m. 968.075 (6m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB229-AA1,1,1412 968.075 (6m) Setting the contact prohibition and conditional release time
13period.
(a) In each county, the circuit judges for the county, acting by a majority vote,
14shall do one of the following:

11. Set the time period under subs. (5) and (6) and s. 939.621 that is applicable
2in that county. The time period shall be not less than 72 hours nor more than 10 days.
AB229-AA1,2,43 2. Delegate the authority to set the time period under subd. 1. to the district
4attorney or to a county officer or agency.
AB229-AA1,2,65 (b) If no time period has been set for a county under par. (a), the applicable time
6period is 72 hours.".
