AB26-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB26-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 2: after "jail" insert "and house of correction".

AB26-AA1,1,3 2. Page 1, line 8: after "sheriff" insert ", superintendent".

AB26-AA1,1,4 3. Page 1, line 8: after "jail" insert "or house of correction".

AB26-AA1,1,5 4. Page 2, line 3: after " sheriff" insert ", superintendent".

AB26-AA1,1,6 5. Page 2, line 4: on lines 4 and 7, after "jail" insert "or house of correction".

AB26-AA1,1,7 6. Page 2, line 4: after that line insert:

AB26-AA1,1,8 " Section 2m. 302.38 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB26-AA1,1,14 302.38 (2) The prisoner is liable for the costs of medical and hospital care outside of the jail or house of correction. If the prisoner is unable to pay the costs, the county shall pay the costs in the case of persons held under the state criminal laws or for contempt of court and, except as provided in s. 302.336 (2) and (3) (b), a municipality shall pay the costs in the case of persons held under municipal ordinance by the municipality.".

AB26-AA1,2,1 " Section 3m. 302.38 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB26-AA1,2,4 302.38 (5) This section does not require the sheriff , superintendent or keeper of the jail or house of correction to provide or arrange for the provision of appropriate care or treatment if the prisoner refuses appropriate care or treatment.".
