AB295-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB295-AA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 6: before "crimi-" insert "certain".

AB295-AA2,1,4 2. Page 5, line 14: after "person" insert: "charged with a crime under s. 940.01, 940.02, 940.03, 940.05, 940.06, 940.07, 940.08, 940.09 or 940.10".

AB295-AA2,1,6 3. Page 6, line 15: after "defendant" insert: "charged with a crime under s. 940.01, 940.02, 940.03, 940.05, 940.06, 940.07, 940.08, 940.09 or 940.10".

AB295-AA2,1,7 4. Page 7, line 6: delete lines 6 to 19 and substitute:

AB295-AA2,1,8 " Section 13m. 971.165 (2g) of the statutes is created to read:

AB295-AA2,1,13 971.165 (2g) If a defendant charged with a crime under s. 940.01, 940.02, 940.03, 940.05, 940.06, 940.07, 940.08, 940.09 or 940.10 has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect and the defendant's plea is tried to a jury, the court shall, in addition to providing to the jury the information required under sub. (2), inform the jury of all of the following:

AB295-AA2,1,14 (a) That the jury may find the defendant guilty but mentally ill if".

AB295-AA2,1,15 5. Page 8, line 1: delete that line.

AB295-AA2,2,1 6. Page 8, line 2: delete "971.165 (2) (c)" and substitute "(b)".

AB295-AA2,2,3 7. Page 8, line 6: after "defendant" insert: "charged with a crime under s. 940.01, 940.02, 940.03, 940.05, 940.06, 940.07, 940.08, 940.09 or 940.10".
