AB393-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB393-AA2,1,2 1. Page 3, line 1: delete lines 1 to 5 and substitute:

AB393-AA2,1,10 "(d) The committee shall study the management, maintenance and ownership options of each state-owned heating and cooling plant, including an examination of the organizational responsibility and reporting of plant management, the sources and amounts of funds used to support operations and maintenance work, integrated management improvement opportunities, the capital investment needs of the plant and the alternative sources of funds available to meet those needs. Of primary consideration shall be the need to provide a safe, reliable and cost-efficient source of heating and cooling services while reducing environmental pollutants.

AB393-AA2,1,13 (e) The secretary of administration may implement representative pilot projects in order to assess the practical feasibility of potential study recommendations.".
