AB51-ASA2,1,2 An Act to create 20.245 (3) (c), 44.33 (8) and 44.46 of the statutes; relating to: historic agricultural building grants and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB51-ASA2, s. 1 Section 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

AB51-ASA2, s. 2 Section 2. 20.245 (3) (c) of the statutes is created to read:

AB51-ASA2,1,7 20.245 (3) (c) Historic agricultural building grant program. The amounts in the schedule for the historic agricultural building grant program under s. 44.46.

AB51-ASA2, s. 3 Section 3. 44.33 (8) of the statutes is created to read:

AB51-ASA2,1,9 44.33 (8) Review and approve criteria for awarding grants under s. 44.46.

AB51-ASA2, s. 4 Section 4. 44.46 of the statutes is created to read:

AB51-ASA2,2,5 44.46 Historic agricultural building grant program. (1) In this section, "historic agricultural building" means any building or structure that was constructed primarily for agricultural purposes and which is significant in the history, architecture or culture of this state.

AB51-ASA2,2,8 (2) From the appropriation under s. 20.245 (3) (c), the historical society shall award grants to owners of historic agricultural buildings to provide assistance in the restoration of such buildings.

AB51-ASA2,2,11 (3) The historical society shall establish procedures and criteria for awarding grants under this section. The criteria shall be approved by the state review board under s. 44.33 (8).
