AB534-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB534-AA1,1,2 21. Page 1, line 1: substitute "requiring" for "permitting".
AB534-AA1,1,3 32. Page 1, line 3: delete lines 3 to 6 and substitute:
AB534-AA1,1,4 4" Section 1e. 346.94 (14) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB534-AA1,1,115 346.94 (14) Use of flashing blue lights along highways. Except as provided
6in ss. 346.03 (3) and 347.25 (1m) and (1s), no person may maintain or operate any
7device equipped with a flashing, oscillating or rotating blue light within 100 feet of
8a highway if the light is visible from the highway and if the department or the local
9authority responsible for maintaining the highway determines that motorists would
10believe the light was the warning light of a police vehicle. This subsection does not
11apply to airport lights.
AB534-AA1, s. 1g 12Section 1g. 347.25 (1s) of the statutes is renumbered 347.25 (1s) (a) and
13amended to read:
AB534-AA1,1,1614 347.25 (1s) (a) A Except as provided in par. (b), a vehicle in use by a fire
15department as a command post at the site of an emergency call may be equipped with
16a blue green light which is flashing, oscillating or rotating.

1Section 1j. 347.25 (1s) (b) of the statutes is created to read:
AB534-AA1,2,42 347.25 (1s) (b) After December 31, 1996, a vehicle in use by a fire department
3as a command post at the site of an emergency call shall be equipped with a green
4light which is flashing, oscillating or rotating.
AB534-AA1, s. 1m 5Section 1m. 347.25 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB534-AA1,2,96 347.25 (4) No vehicle may be equipped with or display any blue colored light
7or lamp unless the vehicle is used in police work authorized by the state or a political
8subdivision of the state or is used by a fire department as authorized under sub.
