AB69-SA9,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB69-SA9,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: after "counties" insert ", firearm safety and providing a
3penalty".
AB69-SA9,1,4 42. Page 3, line 2: after that line insert:
AB69-SA9,1,5 5" Section 2t. 941.205 of the statutes is created to read:
AB69-SA9,1,8 6941.205 Use of trigger lock to secure firearm. (1) Except as provided in
7sub. (2), whoever carries, possesses, transports or stores a firearm that is not securely
8locked with a trigger lock is subject to a Class D forfeiture.
AB69-SA9,1,9 9(2) Subsection (1) does not apply under any of the following circumstances:
AB69-SA9,1,1010 (a) The firearm is being fired by the person in a lawful manner.
AB69-SA9,1,1211 (b) The person who is carrying or in possession of the firearm is hunting or is
12engaged in shooting practice at a shooting range.
AB69-SA9,1,1313 (c) The firearm is altered so as to make it incapable of being fired.
AB69-SA9,2,214 (d) The firearm is one used for official purposes by a peace officer or member
15of the armed forces or national guard and is being carried, possessed or transported

1by the peace officer or member of the armed forces or national guard during the
2performance of his or her duties.
AB69-SA9,2,53 (e) The firearm is one used for official purposes by a peace officer or member
4of the armed forces or national guard and is being stored in a police station, sheriff's
5office, armory or other official storage place for firearms used for official purposes.".
