AB69-SSA1,1,2 1An Act to create 66.0515 of the statutes; relating to: limiting the enforcement
2by cities, villages, towns and counties of certain firearms regulations.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB69-SSA1, s. 1 3Section 1. 66.0515 of the statutes is created to read:
AB69-SSA1,1,5 466.0515 Limitation on enforcement of municipal firearms regulations.
5(1) In this section:
AB69-SSA1,1,66 (a) "Firearm" has the meaning given in s. 167.31 (1) (c).
AB69-SSA1,1,77 (b) "Political subdivision" means a city, village, town or county.
AB69-SSA1,2,2 8(2) No ordinance or resolution enacted or adopted by a political subdivision that
9regulates the ownership, use, keeping, possession, bearing, transportation,
10licensing, permitting, registration or taxation of a firearm applies to or may be
11enforced against an individual who is traveling directly through the political
12subdivision in which the ordinance or resolution is in effect if the individual is a

1nonresident of that political subdivision and if the firearm is unloaded and encased
2while the individual is in the political subdivision.
