(2) In any action brought to recover damages for personal injuries, the
5court
may shall also order the claimant, upon such terms as are just, to give to the
6other party or any physician named in the order, within a specified time, consent and
7the right to inspect any X-ray photograph taken in the course of the diagnosis or
8treatment of
such the claimant
for the injuries for which damages are claimed. The
9court
may shall also order
such the claimant to give consent and the right to inspect
10and copy any hospital, medical or other records and reports
concerning the injuries
11claimed and the treatment thereof that are within the scope of discovery under s.
12804.01 (2).

1(1) This act first applies to requests made on the effective date of this subsection
2for records, reports and X-ray photographs.
