ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, To 1995 ASSEMBLY JOINT RESOLUTION 37

AJR37-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the joint resolution as follows:

AJR37-AA3,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: after "sheriffs" insert: "and limiting the number of consecutive terms permitted for sheriffs".

AJR37-AA3,1,4 2. Page 2, line 6: after that line insert:

AJR37-AA3,1,8 "(d) Beginning with the terms commencing after 2000, a person may not serve more than 3 consecutive 4-year terms as a sheriff. Time served during an initial partial term shall not be counted as part of the 12-year limit. Terms are consecutive unless they are more than 2 years apart.".
