SENATE AMENDMENT 1, To SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, To 1995 SENATE BILL 40

SB40-SSA1-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB40-SSA1-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 3: delete lines 3 to 16 and substitute:

SB40-SSA1-SA1,1,3 " Section 3m. 44.02 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,2 44.02 (5) Keep its main library and museum rooms open at all reasonable hours on business days for the reception of the residents of this state who may wish to visit the library or museum. Except as provided under sub. (5m) and s. 44.20 (1m), the historical society may collect a fee for admission to historic sites or buildings acquired, leased or operated by the historical society, including areas within state parks or on other state-owned lands which incorporate historic buildings, restorations, museums or remains and which are operated by the historical society by agreement with the department of natural resources or other departments, or for lectures, pageants or similar special events, or for admission to defray the costs of special exhibits in its several buildings of documents, objects or other materials not part of the historical society's regular collections but brought in on loan from other sources for such special exhibitions. The historical society may procure and sell or otherwise dispose of postcards, souvenirs and other appropriate merchandise to help defray the costs of operating its several plants and projects.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,5 2. Page 2, line 21: decrease the dollar amount by $6,500 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $3,100.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,7 3. Page 3, line 1: decrease the dollar amount by $10,000 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $3,600.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,9 4. Page 3, line 6: decrease the dollar amount by $15,400 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $6,400.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,11 5. Page 3, line 11: decrease the dollar amount by $11,100 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $6,000.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,13 6. Page 3, line 16: decrease the dollar amount by $4,100 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $1,800.

SB40-SSA1-SA1,2,15 7. Page 3, line 21: decrease the dollar amount by $34,900 for the purpose of resulting in an appropriation decrease of $29,100.
