SB416-SSA1,1,2 1An Act to amend 806.19 (4) (a), 806.19 (4) (b) (form) 3. and 806.19 (4) (d) of the
2statutes; relating to: judgments discharged in bankruptcy.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB416-SSA1, s. 1 3Section 1. 806.19 (4) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB416-SSA1,1,94 806.19 (4) (a) Any person who has secured a discharge of a judgment debt in
5bankruptcy that renders void one or more judgments and any person interested in
6the real property affected by any such judgments to which the judgment attaches
7may submit an application for an order of satisfaction of the judgments judgment and
8an attached order of satisfaction to the clerk of the court in which the judgments
9rendered void by discharge were

SB416-SSA1, s. 2 10Section 2. 806.19 (4) (b) (form) 3. of the statutes, as affected by 1995 Wisconsin
11Act .... (Senate Bill 344), is amended to read:

13above has been completely voided by the discharge discharged in bankruptcy, and no

1inconsistent ruling has been made by, or is being requested by any party from, the
2bankruptcy court.

SB416-SSA1, s. 3 16Section 3. 806.19 (4) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB416-SSA1,2,2117 806.19 (4) (d) Upon receipt of a completed application, the clerk shall submit
18the attached proposed order for signature by a judge after which the clerk shall
19satisfy of record each judgment described in the application. Upon satisfaction, a
20judgment shall cease to be a lien on any real property that the person discharged in
21bankruptcy owns or later acquires.

SB416-SSA1,2,24 23(1) This act first applies to persons discharged in bankruptcy on the effective
24date of this subsection.
