SENATE AMENDMENT 15, To ASSEMBLY BILL 1

AB1-SA15,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:

AB1-SA15,1,3 1. Page 2, line 2: after the semicolon insert "requiring the creation of a scholarship fund;".

AB1-SA15,1,4 2. Page 34, line 22: after that line insert:

AB1-SA15,1,11 "(7) Scholarship fund. A major league professional baseball team that uses as its home field baseball park facilities that are constructed under this subchapter shall create an endowed scholarship program with an initial endowment of at least $200,000. The scholarships shall be made available to low-income individuals who are residents of this state and are involved in athletics, and shall be used for postsecondary education. The team shall administer the scholarship program and shall make periodic reports to the district board about the operation of the program.".
