SENATE AMENDMENT 27, To ASSEMBLY BILL 1

AB1-SA27,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:

AB1-SA27,1,3 1. Page 2, line 1: after the semicolon insert: "requiring payments in lieu of taxes;".

AB1-SA27,1,4 2. Page 17, line 5: after that line insert:

AB1-SA27,1,5 " Section 25m. 70.117 of the statutes is created to read:

AB1-SA27,1,10 70.117 Baseball teams' payments in lieu of taxes. On or before March 1, all baseball teams that use as a home stadium baseball park facilities, as defined in s. 229.65 (1), that were constructed under subch. III of ch. 229 shall pay to the city and county in which the stadium is located reasonable fees, as determined by the department of administration, for the following:

AB1-SA27,1,11 (1) Police and fire protection.

AB1-SA27,1,13 (2) Garbage and trash collection and disposal that are not paid for by a special charge or fee.

AB1-SA27,1,15 (3) All other direct governmental services that are provided to the baseball park facilities.".
