AB137-ASA1,1,4 An Act to create 938.396 (2m) (c) of the statutes; relating to: disclosure of certain information concerning a juvenile who has been adjudicated delinquent for committing a violation that would be a serious felony if committed by an adult.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB137-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. 938.396 (2m) (c) of the statutes is created to read:

AB137-ASA1,2,2 938.396 (2m) (c) Notwithstanding sub. (2), upon request, a court shall disclose to the requester the name and age of a juvenile who has been adjudicated delinquent for committing a violation that would be a serious felony, as defined in s. 939.62 (2m) (a) 1. to 3., if committed by an adult, other than a violation of s. 940.09 (1) (bm), 948.05 (2) or 948.06 (2) or a violation of s. 948.07 (1) with intent to commit a violation of s. 948.095. In addition, the court shall disclose to the requester the nature of the violation committed by the juvenile and the disposition imposed on the juvenile as a result of the violation. The requester may further disclose the information to anyone.

AB137-ASA1,2,5 (1) This act first applies to juveniles who are adjudicated delinquent on the effective date of this subsection.
