SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 463

AB463-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:

AB463-SA1,1,5 1. Page 4, line 2: after "degree" insert ", a grant for community programs to a nonprofit corporation that has over 30 years of experience in providing residential alcohol or other drug abuse treatment to pregnant women in the city of Milwaukee and making an appropriation".

AB463-SA1,1,6 2. Page 12, line 17: after that line insert:

AB463-SA1,1,7 " Section 5m. 46.48 (5) of the statutes is renumbered 46.48 (5) (a).

AB463-SA1, s. 5p Section 5p. 46.48 (5) (b) of the statutes is created to read:

AB463-SA1,1,13 46.48 (5) (b) The department shall distribute $305,000 in each fiscal year, beginning in fiscal year 1998-99, as a grant to a nonprofit corporation that has over 30 years of experience in providing residential alcohol or other drug abuse treatment to pregnant women in the city of Milwaukee, to provide residential alcohol or other drug abuse treatment to pregnant women.".

AB463-SA1,2,1 3. Page 134, line 9: after that line insert:

AB463-SA1,2,2 " Section 320v. Appropriation changes.

AB463-SA1,2,10 (1t) Grant for alcohol or other drug abuse treatment program. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of health and family services under section 20.435 (7) (bc) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1997, the dollar amount is increased by $305,000 for fiscal year 1998-99 to increase funding for a grant for community programs to a nonprofit corporation that has over 30 years of experience in providing residential alcohol or other drug abuse treatment to pregnant women in the city of Milwaukee, to provide residential alcohol or other drug abuse treatment to pregnant women.".
