ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 541

AB541-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB541-AA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 18: delete that line and substitute "not more than 2 years if all of the following apply:

AB541-AA1,1,4 (a) The conduct constituting the crime involved an act by the".

AB541-AA1,1,5 2. Page 2, line 21: after that line insert:

AB541-AA1,1,9 "(b) At any time during the 2-year period immediately preceding the conduct constituting the crime, the adult person was arrested under s. 968.075 (2) for committing an act of domestic abuse, as defined in s. 968.075 (1) (a), against the victim specified in par. (a).".

AB541-AA1,1,10 3. Page 4, line 1: delete lines 1 and 2 and substitute:

AB541-AA1,2,2 "(1m) This act first applies to acts committed on the effective date of this subsection, but does not preclude the counting of acts committed before the effective date of this subsection for purposes of determining, under section 939.621 (2) (b) of the statutes, as created by this act, whether a person has been arrested for committing a previous act of domestic abuse.".
