ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, To 1997 ASSEMBLY JOINT RESOLUTION 1

AJR1-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the joint resolution as follows:

AJR1-AA1,1,2 1. Page 19, line 7: after that line insert:

AJR1-AA1,1,3 " Section 37m. Joint rule 82 (1) (g) is created to read:

AJR1-AA1,1,5 Joint Rule 82 (1) (g) Bills or joint resolutions specified under joint rule 83 (4) (b).".

AJR1-AA1,1,6 2. Page 19, line 14: after that line insert:

AJR1-AA1,1,8 " Section 38d. Joint rule 83 (4) is renumbered joint rule 83 (4) (a) and amended to read:

AJR1-AA1,1,13 Joint Rule 83 (4) (a) At the conclusion of the last general-business floorperiod scheduled for the spring of the even-numbered year, any bill or joint resolution not yet agreed to by both houses, and any resolution not yet passed by the house of origin, shall be deemed adversely disposed of for the biennial session and recorded as "failed to pass", "failed to adopt" or "failed to concur", except as provided in par. (b).

AJR1-AA1, s. 38m Section 38m. Joint rule 83 (4) (b) is created to read:

AJR1-AA1,2,5 Joint Rule 83 (4) (b) Any bill or joint resolution not yet agreed to by both houses at the conclusion of the last general-business floorperiod is not adversely disposed of if the bill or joint resolution has been passed by one house and concurred in, as amended, by the other house.".
