ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 SENATE BILL 156

SB156-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB156-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 9: delete "and" and substitute a comma.

SB156-AA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 10: before the period insert: "and granting rule-making authority".

SB156-AA1,1,7 3. Page 11, line 23: before the period insert: "and with rules promulgated by the board. If any conflict exists between the guidelines and the rules, the rules shall control".

SB156-AA1,1,8 4. Page 11, line 24: before that line insert:

SB156-AA1,1,9 " Section 33m. 448.40 (2) (f) of the statutes is created to read:

SB156-AA1,1,11 448.40 (2) (f) Establishing requirements for prescription orders issued by physician assistants under s. 448.21 (3).".

SB156-AA1,1,12 5. Page 13, line 3: after that line insert:

SB156-AA1,2,1 " Section 38m. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB156-AA1,2,7 (1) Notwithstanding sections 448.04 (1) (f) and 448.05 (5) (a) (intro.), 1. and 2. and (c) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the medical examining board shall issue a certificate of licensure or temporary licensure, as appropriate, under section 448.04 (1) (f) of the statutes, as affected by this act, to any person who, on the effective date of this subsection, holds a valid certificate as a physician assistant granted by the medical examining board before the effective date of this subsection.".
