SENATE AMENDMENT 5, TO 1997 SENATE BILL 269

SB269-SA5,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB269-SA5,1,5 1. Page 6, line 18: delete the material beginning with "a plan" and ending with "future. The" on line 19 and substitute "an advisory plan suggesting how the public library system can so do in the future, including suggestions designed to foster intrasystem communications and local dispute resolution. The advisory".

SB269-SA5,1,7 2. Page 10, line 19: delete "a public library system to pay" and substitute "its participating municipalities or with a public library system to pay no less than".

SB269-SA5,1,8 3. Page 27, line 14: before that line insert:

SB269-SA5,1,9 " Section 43m. Initial applicability.

SB269-SA5,1,12 (1) The treatment of section 43.12 of the statutes first applies to county payments made by March 1, 2001, for library services provided in the 1999 calendar year and reported to the county clerk by July 1, 2000.".
