AB105-AA6,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB105-AA6,1,6 21. Page 4, line 8: delete lines 8 to 11 and substitute "appeal board for
3permission to hold a special referendum submitting a specified question on a date
4specified in the petition. If the referendum appeal board finds, within 10 days after
5receipt of a petition under this subsection, and with the concurrence of at least 3
6members, that no emergency".
AB105-AA6,1,13 72. Page 4, line 15: delete the material beginning with "permit" and ending with
8"unit." on line 17 and substitute "disapprove the scheduling of a referendum relating
9to the question specified in the petition on the date specified in the petition. If the
10referendum appeal board does not so find, within 10 days after receipt of a petition
11under this subsection, and with the concurrence of at least 3 members, the local
12governmental unit may hold the special referendum on the date specified in the
13petition.".

13. Page 5, line 9: delete the material beginning with "the governor" and ending
2with "persons." on line 11, and substitute "4 members appointed by the elections
3board, including one individual designated by each of the following: the senate
4majority leader, the senate minority leader, the speaker of the assembly and the
5assembly minority leader. In case of an absence or temporary vacancy, the officer
6designating that member may serve as a member of the board.".
