TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 327

AB327-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB327-AA2,1,5 21. Page 1, line 3: delete the material beginning with "owners" and ending with
3"registration" on line 4 and substitute "owners to include their birth dates on
4applications for motor vehicle registration and forfeiture of vehicles involved in
5certain drug crimes".
AB327-AA2,1,6 62. Page 1, line 5: delete that line and substitute:
AB327-AA2,1,8 7" Section 1. 341.08 (1m) of the statutes, as affected by 1999 Wisconsin Act ....
8(Assembly Bill 315), is amended to read:
AB327-AA2,1,119 341.08 (1m) The forms for application for original registration and for renewal
10of registration under sub. (1) shall include the information required under s. 85.103
11(2) and the applicant's birth date.".
AB327-AA2,1,12 123. Page 2, line 1: delete lines 1 to 8.
AB327-AA2,1,13 134. Page 2, line 9: before that line insert:

1" Section 2. 341.08 (2) (a) and (am) of the statutes are amended to read:

AB327-AA2,2,5 55. Page 2, line 14: delete lines 14 to 19 and substitute:

AB327-AA2, s. 3m 10Section 3m. 961.55 (1) (d) 2. of the statutes is amended to read:
AB327-AA2,2,1611 961.55 (1) (d) 2. No vehicle is subject to forfeiture under this section by reason
12of any act or omission established by the owner thereof to have been committed or
13omitted without the owner's knowledge or consent. This subdivision does not apply
14to any vehicle owned by a person who is under 16 years of age on the date that the
15vehicle is used, or is intended for use, in the manner described under par. (d) (intro.),
16unless the court determines that the owner is an innocent bona fide owner
;".
AB327-AA2, s. 5m 17Section 5m. Initial applicability.
AB327-AA2,2,20 18(1) The treatment of section 961.55 (1) (d) 2. of the statutes first applies to
19vehicles used, or intended for use, on the effective date of this subsection in the
20manner described under section 961.55 (1) (d) 2. of the statutes.".
