AB389-AA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB389-AA4,1,2 1. Page 2, line 16: delete "generating" and substitute "electric".

AB389-AA4,1,3 2. Page 26, line 16: after that line insert:

AB389-AA4,1,4 " Section 20m. 196.025 (4m) of the statutes is created to read:

AB389-AA4,1,12 196.025 (4m) (a) In consultation with the department of administration and the department of revenue, the commission shall study the establishment of a program for providing incentives for the siting, development, maintenance and reconstruction of electric generation, transmission and distribution facilities by public utilities, cooperative associations organized under ch. 185 and qualified wholesale electric companies, as defined in s. 76.28 (1) (gm). The incentives studied shall include incentives to cities, villages, towns and counties in which the facilities are located.

AB389-AA4,2,4 (b) No later than January 1, 2001, the commission shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations under par. (a) to the chief clerk of each house of the legislature for distribution to the appropriate standing committees under s. 13.172 (3).".
