AB481-AA4,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB481-AA4,1,2 21. Page 4, line 24: delete that line.
AB481-AA4,1,3 32. Page 5, line 1: delete lines 1 to 17 and substitute:
AB481-AA4,1,4 4" Section 3r. 118.126 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB481-AA4,1,105 118.126 (1) (intro.) A school psychologist, counselor, social worker and nurse,
6and any teacher or administrator designated by the school board who engages in
7alcohol or drug abuse program activities, shall keep confidential information
8received from a pupil that the pupil or another pupil is using or is experiencing
9problems resulting from the use of alcohol or other drugs unless any of the following
10apply

AB481-AA4,1,1312 118.126 (1) (a) The pupil using or experiencing problems resulting from the use
13of alcohol or other drugs consents in writing to disclosure of the information;.

1Section 3v. 118.126 (1) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB481-AA4,2,62 118.126 (1) (b) The school psychologist, counselor, social worker, nurse, teacher
3or administrator has reason to believe that there is serious and imminent danger to
4the health, safety or life of any person and that disclosure of the information to
5another person will alleviate the serious and imminent danger. No more information
6than is required to alleviate the serious and imminent danger may be disclosed; or.
AB481-AA4, s. 3x 7Section 3x. 118.126 (1) (bm) of the statutes is created to read:
AB481-AA4,2,158 118.126 (1) (bm) The parent or guardian of the pupil who is using or
9experiencing problems resulting from the use of alcohol or other drugs requests the
10information, and the school psychologist, counselor, social worker, nurse, teacher or
11administrator determines that the information is being sought for good cause and
12that the need of the parent or guardian for the information outweighs society's
13interest in protecting the confidentiality of the information. No more information
14than is required to meet the need of the parent or guardian for the information may
15be disclosed.".
