AB1-ASA1-AA20,1,2 21. Page 2, line 22: after that line insert:
AB1-ASA1-AA20,1,3 3" Section 4e. 20.924 (3m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB1-ASA1-AA20,1,54 20.924 (3m) Subsection (1) (a) and (b) does not apply to the construction of the
5incinerator under s. 23.199.
AB1-ASA1-AA20, s. 4i 6Section 4i. 23.0917 (4) (cm) 7. of the statutes is created to read:
AB1-ASA1-AA20,1,87 23.0917 (4) (cm) 7. Construction of the incinerator under s. 23.199, as provided
8in s. 23.197 (10).
AB1-ASA1-AA20, s. 4k 9Section 4k. 23.197 (10) of the statutes is created to read:
AB1-ASA1-AA20,2,310 23.197 (10) Disposal of carcasses. From the appropriation under s. 20.866 (2)
11(ta), the department shall expend not more than $1,000,000 for the construction of
12the incinerator under s. 23.199. For the purposes of s. 23.0917, moneys expended

1under this subsection from the appropriation under s. 20.866 (2) (ta) shall be treated
2as moneys obligated under the subprogram for property development and local
3assistance.
AB1-ASA1-AA20, s. 4n 4Section 4n. 23.199 of the statutes is created to read:
AB1-ASA1-AA20,2,11 523.199 Disposal of carcasses. The department shall construct and operate
6an incinerator for the disposal of the carcasses of animals killed to manage chronic
7wasting disease. The department shall construct the incinerator on land that is
8owned by this state on the effective date of this section .... [revisor inserts date]. The
9department shall begin operation of the incinerator by October 15, 2002, or as soon
10thereafter as possible. The department may not expend more than $250,000 in any
11fiscal year for operating the incinerator.".
