1An Act to repeal 115.42 (1) (a) 3. and 115.42 (2) (c);

(1) (b) The grant under this subsection shall be an amount equal to the
8costs of obtaining certification under par. (a) 1. that are borne by the person, not to
9exceed $2,000. The department shall award the grant under this subsection
in the
10school year in which the person is certified under par. (a) 1., except that if the person
11becomes certified under par. (a) 1. while he or she is not a resident of this state, the
1department shall award the grant under this subsection in the first school year in
2which the person meets the requirements under par. (a).

(2) (a) (intro.) The department shall award
a
9 grants of $2,500
grant
6each to each person who received a grant under sub. (1)
in each of the 9 school years
7following the school year in which he or she received the grant if the person satisfies
8all of the following requirements:

(2) (bL) The department shall award the grants under this subsection
13annually, one grant in each of the school years following the school year in which the
14grant under sub. (1) was awarded and in which the person satisfies the requirements
15under par. (a).
