SB110-AA9,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:
SB110-AA9,1,3 21. Page 33, line 23: delete the material beginning with that line and ending
3with page 35, line 8, and substitute:
SB110-AA9,2,2 4"(1) Universal, centralized voter registration; recommendations.
5Notwithstanding section 16.42 (1) of the statutes, the elections board shall submit
6as a part of its budget request for the 2003-05 fiscal biennium under section 16.42
7of the statutes a proposal to create a statewide, centralized voter registration and poll
8list system. The proposed system shall be computerized, shall require voter
9registration in every municipality in this state, shall be maintained by the elections
10board, and shall allow for the real-time entering and checking of voter registration
11and polling information by election officials, so as to facilitate the elimination of

1multiple voting by the same elector at the same election. The proposed system shall
2be designed to be operational as of the 2004 spring election.".
