SB18-AA1,1,21 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute
2amendment 1, as follows:
SB18-AA1,1,6 31. Page 1, line 1: after "program" insert ", requiring the department of health
4and family services to request a federal waiver from the federal secretary of health
5and human services to provide health care coverage under the badger care health
6care program to individuals regardless of citizenship or alien status,".
SB18-AA1,1,7 72. Page 1, line 3: delete that line and substitute:
SB18-AA1,1,8 8" Section 1m. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB18-AA1,2,2 9(1) Badger care health care program waiver. Not later than January 1, 2002,
10the department of health and family services shall request a waiver from the federal
11secretary of health and human services to provide health care coverage to individuals
12regardless of citizenship or alien status under the badger care health care program

1under section 49.665 of the statutes. If the department receives the waiver, the
2department shall implement the waiver to individuals.
