SB197-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB197-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 14: after that line insert:

SB197-SA1,1,3 " Section 2m. 40.22 (2) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB197-SA1,1,6 40.22 (2) (b) The employee's expected duration of employment is less than one year and the employee is not a teaching assistant, as defined in s. 111.81 (19m), or a project assistant, as defined in s. 111.81 (15m).".

SB197-SA1,1,8 " Section 4m. 40.22 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB197-SA1,2,2 40.22 (4) For purposes of s. 40.02 (25), a person who is employed by a state agency shall be deemed to have become a state employee on the date the person becomes a participating state employee. No participating employee , other than a participating employee who is a teaching assistant, as defined in s. 111.81 (19m), or a project assistant, as defined in s. 111.81 (15m), may be included under s. 40.52 (3).".
