SB279-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 20: after that line insert:

SB279-AA1,1,3 " Section 4g. Nonstatutory provisions; elimination of partisan caucus staffs.

SB279-AA1,1,8 (1) (a) The authorized FTE positions for the assembly, funded from the appropriation under section 20.765 (1) (a) of the statutes, are decreased on January 1, 2002, by the number equal to the number of FTE positions assigned to the assembly party caucuses on September 1, 2001, minus 3.0, to eliminate staffing of party caucuses in the assembly.

SB279-AA1,2,2 (b) The authorized FTE positions for the senate, funded from the appropriation under section 20.765 (1) (b) of the statutes, are decreased on January 1, 2002, by the number equal to the number of FTE positions assigned to the senate party caucuses on September 1, 2001, minus 3.0, to eliminate staffing of party caucuses in the senate.".
