TO 2001 SENATE BILL 55

SB55-ASA1-AA97,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB55-ASA1-AA97,1,2 21. Page 605, line 15: delete "$500,000" and substitute "$1,500,000".

SB55-ASA1-AA97,1,3 32. Page 1371, line 9: delete lines 9 to 17 and substitute:

SB55-ASA1-AA97,1,7 4"(8xq) Community youth grants. Notwithstanding section 49.175 (1) (z) of the
5statutes, as affected by this act, from the moneys allocated under section 49.175 (1)
6(z) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the department of workforce development
7shall provide all of the following:

SB55-ASA1-AA97,2,2 8(a) In each fiscal year of the 2001-03 fiscal biennium, grants to the Wisconsin
9chapters of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America to improve social, academic, and
10employment skills of youth who are eligible to receive temporary assistance for needy
11families under 42 USC 601 et seq. The total amount of grants that are provided

1under this paragraph in each fiscal year of the 2001-03 fiscal biennium shall be
2$500,000.

SB55-ASA1-AA97,2,4 3(b) In the 2002-03 fiscal year, grants to community learning centers. The total
4amount of grants that are provided under this paragraph shall be $1,000,000.".
