ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 400

AB400-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB400-AA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 13: delete lines 13 to 16.

AB400-AA1,1,3 2. Page 4, line 3: after "apply to" insert "packaged wild rice products or to".

AB400-AA1,1,4 3. Page 4, line 6: delete "(2), (3), or (3m)" and substitute "(2) or (3)".

AB400-AA1,1,5 4. Page 4, line 8: delete "(3m),".

AB400-AA1,1,6 5. Page 4, line 12: after that line insert:

AB400-AA1,1,7 " Section 2g. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB400-AA1,1,12 (1) Proposed rules. The department of agriculture, trade and consumer protection shall submit in proposed form the rules required under section 97.57 (7) of the statutes, as created by this act, to the legislative council staff under section 227.15 (1) of the statutes no later than the first day of the 7th month beginning after the effective date of this subsection.

AB400-AA1, s. 2r Section 2r. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

AB400-AA1,2,4 (1) The treatment of section 97.57 of the statutes takes effect on the first day of the 19th month beginning after publication.".
